Twitter font generator for your posts, bio and name
Write your posts, bio and display name in bold, italic, script and other styles, and see how much of the 280 characters they use.
X has no font menu. These styles are Unicode characters that look like letters in another font, so they keep their look wherever you paste them. Everything happens in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Each styled letter counts as 2 of the 280 characters.
Where the styles work
Posts, replies, your bio and your display name take these characters. Your username does not, since X limits it to letters, numbers and underscores.
Styled letters use more of the 280 characters
X counts each styled letter as 2 characters, the same as an emoji. A post written entirely in a style holds about 140 letters, so the preview shows the count as you type.
Why some letters look different
Unicode has no complete set for some styles. Script, gothic and outline borrow a few letters from older symbol blocks, and small caps and tiny have no letter for x and q, so those characters can look slightly off next to the rest.
Keep it readable
A screen reader reads most of these characters out one by one or skips them. Use them for a short line or a heading, and keep your name and the words that matter in plain text.
