A handle or a link, either works
Type the username on its own and the address is assembled for you. Paste the full link from your browser and it is used as it is. Both produce the same code, so it does not matter which you have to hand.
Adding a logo
A logo covers part of the pattern, so the code is rebuilt at the highest error correction level as soon as you add one, which lets a scanner reconstruct what is hidden underneath. Without a logo the code stays at the standard level and the pattern is less dense, which is easier to scan at small sizes. Upload whichever image you have the right to use. It stays in your browser and is drawn into the file you download.
The code does not expire
The address is encoded in the pattern itself rather than stored on a server. That means it works offline and keeps working, but it also cannot be edited. If you change your handle, the printed code points at a name that no longer exists and has to be replaced. To keep one printed code and change where it goes, point it at a short link you control. Print it large enough
Size depends on how far away it is scanned from. A rough working rule is one unit of code width for every ten units of distance, so a code read from two meters wants around 20cm across. A code with a logo is denser, so give it more room than one without. Keep the margin around the code clear, since scanners use that empty space to find the edges.
