Threads that publish as threads

Every part can carry its own photos, GIF or video, with its own alt text. If one part fails, the reason is recorded against that part.
Quotes and reposts on a schedule
To quote a post, paste its link. It appears under your text as a quote, and the composer preview shows it the same way before you save.
To repost, paste the link of any post on X, yours or someone else's, and choose a time. No caption is needed. The preview shows the repost with the original author and text.
Polls
A poll has two to four choices of up to twenty five characters each. It stays open for one hour, six hours, one day, three days or seven days. Polls go on text posts only, and the composer checks the choices when you save.
Who can reply and labels
Choose who can reply to each post: everyone, accounts you follow, verified accounts, or only the accounts you mention.
Two labels are available on every post. Made with AI marks content created or changed with AI. Paid partnership marks content you were paid to post.
Photos, GIFs and video
A post carries up to four photos, one GIF or one video. Photos are JPG, PNG or WEBP up to five megabytes, and GIFs go up to fifteen megabytes. Video is MP4 or MOV up to twenty minutes, or up to two hours and five minutes on X Premium. These are the limits X sets.
Every image can carry alt text of up to one thousand characters. The character countdown follows the account: two hundred and eighty characters, or twenty five thousand for X Premium, read when you connect the account.
File types, the media combination and post links are checked when you save. A video is published once X has finished processing it. If a file upload fails, the post fails with the reason X gives, instead of going out without its media.
Timing
The Following tab on X shows posts in time order, so the hour a post goes out decides who sees it there first. A thread or a poll published while your followers are online gets its first replies and votes sooner, and a poll that closes overnight collects fewer of them.
