Instagram money calculator to price a sponsored post
Work out a price for a sponsored Instagram post, Reel, carousel or Story from your followers and engagement.
Instagram does not pay per view. Most of what creators earn there comes from brands paying for posts, so this calculator prices one sponsored post. Your follower count sets the range, the format moves it up or down, and your engagement rate tells you whether to ask for the low end or the high end. You can replace every price with your own.
Instagram sponsored post price
Instagram does not pay per view. It pays through Subscriptions, Gifts ($0.01 per Star), Badges ($0.99, $1.99 or $4.99) and invite-only Bonuses. Most income comes from brand deals, which this calculator prices.
How Instagram pays creators
Instagram pays through Subscriptions, where you set a monthly price, Gifts on Reels at $0.01 per Star, Badges in live videos at $0.99, $1.99 or $4.99, and Bonuses, which are by invitation. None of these pays per view.
Followers set the range
Studies of real brand deals find that the price follows the follower count. Engagement is a reason to ask for the top of your range rather than a multiplier, so the calculator compares your rate with creators your size and points you to the low, middle or high end.
Formats and extras
A Reel usually costs 20% to 30% more than a feed post, a carousel 25% to 50% more and a Story about half. Letting the brand reuse the post for 6 months adds 20% to 30%, and agreeing not to work with competing brands for 30 days adds 15% to 25%.
