Post an RSS feed to Facebook, X, LinkedIn and your other channels automatically. Filter items by keyword and post them at set times.
An RSS feed lists the new articles of a blog or news site. Connect one to sona.to and each new item becomes a post on Facebook, X, LinkedIn or any channel you choose, as it appears or at the times you set. Filters decide which items are shared, and nothing is posted twice to the same channel. The RSS auto-posting page sums it up.
What you can post from an RSS feed
Any site that publishes an RSS feed: your own blog or website, an industry news site, a local paper, a podcast, a store that lists new products. Most blogs have a feed, often at an address ending in /feed or /rss.
How to post an RSS feed to social media
1. Add the feed. Paste the feed address and click Read feed to check that sona.to can read it.
2. Choose the channels. Pick the channels the items go to, for example a Facebook page, an X account and a LinkedIn page.
3. Choose when items are posted. "As new items appear" checks the feed every 15 minutes and posts up to three new items per check. "At set times" posts one item at each time you set, on the weekdays you pick. Both can have a start and an end date.
4. Write the post text. Set the text of the posts and how the item's link is added, and choose whether the link is turned into a short link that counts clicks.
5. Save. By default, items already in the feed are skipped, so only items published after you save are posted.
Filter which items are shared
Keyword filters keep the feed relevant. Include keywords keep only the items that mention them, and ignore keywords skip the items that mention them. A news feed filtered on your city or your trade shares only what your audience cares about.
No item posted twice
Each item is posted once per channel. If two of your feeds carry the same article and both post to the same channel, it goes out once. The feed editor warns you when another feed already posts the same address to a channel you chose.
What happens when a feed fails
If a feed cannot be read three times in a row, it is paused and the reason is shown, so a broken feed does not fail silently. Texts longer than a channel allows are cut at the last full sentence, leaving room for the link.
