What size is a Facebook cover photo?

851 x 315 pixels for a Page, and at least 400 x 150. For a personal profile Facebook only asks for at least 720 pixels wide, and 851 x 315 works there too. A group cover is 1640 x 856.

Why is my profile picture cut into a circle?

Facebook shows profile pictures as a circle. Upload a 320 x 320 square and use the circle in the tool to check what stays visible.

What size is a Facebook event cover?

Use 1920 x 1005 pixels, a 1.91:1 shape. Once you add the cover, its size cannot be changed.

What size is a Facebook link image?

How a Page cover looks on a computer and on a phone

On a computer the cover fills the full width of the page. On a phone it is shown in a 2.4:1 shape, so the sides are cut, and your profile picture covers part of it. Facebook says a JPG in sRGB under 100 KB loads fastest, and recommends PNG when the cover has a logo or text.
