Does it need an account?

No. There is no sign-in and no connection to a sona.to account.

What does it send to sona.to?

Nothing. The requests it makes go to the site you are visiting, for robots.txt, llms.txt and a fresh copy of the page HTML, plus the address named in the og:image tag.

Can it check a whole site?

No. It inspects one page at a time. Crawling a whole site, tracking issues over time and generating fixes are part of the sona.to SEO tools.

Why group AI crawlers rather than list them?

Because the groups carry different consequences. Blocking a retrieval crawler removes you from the answers that cite sources. Blocking a training crawler does not, since those send no visitors and produce no citations.

What is the page score?

One number to track a page over time. It is a regression signal rather than a ranking prediction, and a page correctly set to noindex gets a label instead of a zero.

Does it work on Firefox for Android?

No. The panel is built to sit beside a desktop page, and hovering a finding to locate an element has no equivalent on a phone.

Findings that show their work

Thirty-three checks covering titles, descriptions, canonicals, headings, links, images, indexability and structured data. Hover a finding and the element is outlined on the page behind the panel.

AI crawler access

The site robots.txt is parsed and eighteen crawler tokens are reported, grouped by what they do rather than listed flat. Retrieval crawlers build the indexes that AI answers cite from. Training crawlers send no visitors.

Crawler view

Words in the raw HTML against words after JavaScript runs. On a page that renders in the browser, the difference is often most of the content.

Share preview

The card as X, Facebook and LinkedIn will render it, with the og:image loaded and measured against each platform minimum.

Changed since

A summary of each page you inspect is kept on your own machine, so the next visit shows what moved. Five snapshots per address, three hundred addresses, oldest discarded first.

Nothing is collected

Three permissions and no host permissions. The extension reads a page only when you click the icon, and sends nothing to sona.to or anywhere else. See the privacy policy for the detail.
